What is Billingswood Manor?

Billingswood Manor Residence is a retirement community for seniors who desire a full service lifestyle, free from all the traditional responsibilities of maintaining a private home.

Must I Sign A Lease?

No lease is required. The Government of Ontario requires that you enter a residency agreement with the Manor except in the case of convalescent, respite and short-term stays.

How Private is my Accommodation?

Your suite is your home. Your privacy is respected by the staff who are available to assist you at all times.

What Activities are Available?

Select the activities you enjoy most from the monthly calendar. An Activity Director is on staff to organize outings, shopping excursions, card tournaments, bingo, special parties and events, and other interests you may have.

What About Medical Concerns I May Have or May Develop?

Our home offers well-trained, caring and devoted healthcare personnel available to assist you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Full-time registered nursing presence is provided. In addition, each suite is furnished with an emergency call system.

What If I Need More Care?

Our relationship with you, your physician and your family is of utmost importance to us. If your physician recommends hospitalization, your suite will be waiting for you when your health improves and you return to us. Should specialized care be required, additional care can be arranged here. or we will assist in the transition to a more appropriate residence.

About the Suites

Your private suite is spacious and bright with a 4 piece ensuite bath, closet and individual heat and air conditioning controls. Residents furnish their own suites with their favorite personal memories from home.

What is Included in My Rate?

Your room rate includes these services:
  • assistance with one bath per week* in room
  • three meals daily
  • snacks self-serve throughout the day
  • housekeeping service
  • linen and towels
  • personal laundry service
  • dynamic activity program
  • emergency call system
  • tuck shop on-site
  • free parking, upon availability
  • medication administration
  • full service bath 1/2 hour per bath at $18.00 can also be provided

I Would Like My Family to See Billingswood; Is That Possible?

We would be pleased to have you and your family visit our facility. Arrangements can be made with Management.

May I Have Guest?

We welcome your guests to Billingswood Manor, and want you to feel comfortable inviting them to visit you in your new home. For your convenience, arrangements for over-night accommodation* and meals can be made in advance with Management.

How Do I Arrange To Move In?

We will provide all the information and advice on the various options available to you at a confidential interview (arranged at your convenience). Moving can be stressful, therefore we are more than happy to assist you in arranging the details of your move.

Reservations

Complete and sign the Reservation Agreement and call us to make arrangements to meet at your convenience.

What if I can't move in for health reasons?

If you are not able to move in as planned due to health complications as certified by your Doctor and our Wellness Nurse, we will refund your reservation fee in its entirety.

What if I change my mind?

If, after paying your reservation fee (to hold a specific suite), you change your mind, simply let us know in writing and we will refund your reservation in full.

Priority Waiting List?

If the suite of your choice is not currently available, we encourage you to move into any available accomodation at Billingswood Manor, because our in-house residents receive priority for openings within our community. Or, you may opt to be placed on our Priority Waiting List. Your name will be placed on our Priority Waiting List according to the date of your reservation fee and location preference. When a suite matching your preference comes available, you will be given an opportunity to move.
